Provision on the Structure and Contents of Safety Analysis Report for Radiation Sources (RB-064-20)

The document contains recommendations of Rostechnadzor to the development of a safety analysis report for radiation sources to be submitted to Rostechnadzor by organizations as a part of a package of documents substantiating safety of radiation sources in order to obtain a license for their siting, construction and operation.

The document is intended to be applied by:

• organizations performing the activities related to siting, construction and operation of radiation sources (excluding the organizations performing operation of radiation sources of radiation hazard Categories 4 or 5 only);

• Rostechnadzor specialists executing licensing of activities related to siting, construction and operation of radiation sources, as well as control and supervision over the mentioned activities;

• specialists of organizations performing safety review of radiation sources and (or) activities related to their siting, construction and operation.

The document was issued to supersede the Safety Guide in the field of atomic energy use “Provision on the Structure and Contents of Safety Analysis Report for Radiation Sources” (RB-064-11) approved by the Order of Rostechnadzor of June 30, 2011 No. 343.

The document was developed with participation of: A.A. Batsulin, V.V. Bochkarev, B.D. Brilliantov, A.V. Plevaka, P.A. Stryapushkin.

The comments and proposals of: Rostechnadzor Department 6, Rosenergoatom JSC, FSUE “RАDON”, FSUE “RosRAO”, Isotope JSC ant etc. were applied in the development process.
