Provision on the Content and Composition of the Report on Radiation Safety Conditions in Organizations Operating Radionuclide Sources (RB-054-20)

The document contains recommendations of Rostechnadzor to the development of a report on the state of radiation sources radiation safety to be submitted to the Rostechnadzor Interregional Territorial Departments for Supervision over Nuclear and Radiation Safety by organizations involved in the activity of operation of radiation sources containing bare radioactive sources and (or) radioactive substances with the activity corresponding to Class I or II of operations with radioactive substances or radiation sources of Categories 1 – 3 of radiation hazard.

The document is intended to be applied by:

– organizations performing activity related to operation of radiation sources containing bare radioactive sources and (or) radioactive substances with the activity corresponding to Class I or II of operations with radioactive substances and (or) radiation sources of Categories 1 – 3 of radiation hazard;

– Rostechnadzor specialists executing control and supervision over the activity related to operation of the mentioned radiation sources.

The document was issued to supersede the Safety Guide in atomic energy use “Provision on the Content and Composition of the Report on Radiation Safety Conditions in Organizations Operating Radionuclide Sources” (RB-054-09) approved by the Order of Rostechnadzor of January 22, 2010 No. 29.

The document was developed with participation of: A.A. Batsulin, V.V. Bochkarev, B.D. Brilliantov, A.V. Plevaka, P.A. Stryapushkin. The comments and proposals of: Rostechnadzor Department 6, Rosenergoatom JSC, FSUE “RАDON”, FSUE “RosRAO”, Isotope JSC ant etc. were applied in the development process.
