Criticality calculations using different software codes are an integral part of safety analysis of any systems containing nuclear fissile materials. However, any SC is characterized by range of application and accuracy. These characteristics usually are estimated by comparison of results calculated by SC with experimentally measured values. This paper represents results of PSG2/SERPENT verification for criticality calculations of uranium-water systems. Verification is based on comparison of Kef values, calculated by PSG2/SERPENT, with experimental data measured on the VVER critical facility by NRC «KI». Results demonstrate the possibility of using PSG2/SERPENT for calculating of Kef of uranium-water systems with high accuracy.
