This paper presents the possible approach to the estimation of necessity and the magnitude of changing of operational and safety limits in number of gas leaking fuel rods due to the change to other sort of fuel. The details of offered approach’ application to the estimation of mentioned limits due to the change from ordinary uraniumoxide fuel to MOX-fuel and mixed uranium-plutonium nitride fuel are considered as an example.
