Development of legal and regulatory basis for approaches to return of reprocessing products of spent nuclear fuel to the supplier’s state

The Russian Federation accepts on its territory spent nuclear assemblies that were manufactured for the Russian-designed reactors abroad for reprocessing. According to current legislature products of spent nuclear fuel reprocessing are subject to return to the Supplier’s state. Present approaches to determination of reprocessing products quantity are established in safety guide RB-092-13 «Recommendations to Safety Ensuring the Return of the Irradiated Fuel Assemblies Reprocessing Products to the Supplier’s State». This paper presents analysis of possible update of approaches to determination of reprocessing products quantity and contains proposals for changes of RB-092-13.
