The article describes the reasons for the decision making on the necessity of updating of the General Regulations on Ensuring Safety of Nuclear Power Plants. The article also gives information about the development process of the updated General Regulations draft as well as lists the most significant changes introduced in the draft as compared with the current regulatory document.
