The justification of nuclear safety is a priority direction in ensuring safety for nuclear fuel cycle facilities. A special system of requirements for determination of levels of values of nuclear safety parameters is used to prevent the occurrence of a self-sustaining chain reaction at nuclear fuel cycle facilities. The fulfilment of these requirements is associated with the analysis of the aggregate of critical dependencies among nuclear safety parameters.
The purpose of the Article is to provide the results of using the graphic approach for justification of safe nuclear safety parameters to be applied to individual pieces of equipment based on the plotting and analysis of combined diagrams of critical dependencies among nuclear safety parameters.
As a result of applying the graphic approach, a graphic justification for the principle of determination of one out of safe nuclear safety parameters was provided to ensure nuclear safety for nuclear fuel cycle facilities.
