ABOUT SOME TERMINOLOGICAL PROBLEMS

Safety of facilities and activities in sphere of use of atomic energy is regulated by the legislation and regulatory documents of various level and the status. Their terminological base very important for their correct perception and execution. If the term used in the specific document according to the definition given to it is not a special case of a more general meaning of this term accepted in a lexical basis of the Russian language there can be problems with perception of such term and application of the document containing it. More often such occurs if for the document drafting the foreign analogues and used terminology are directly transferred in to Russian. The particular fact has happened with terms «verification» and «validation», borrowed from the English texts.
