Comparative analysis of regulatory requirements and areas of their improvement. Nuclear power plant states, considered in the project

The comparative analysis has been performed of the requirements set forth by the federal rules and regulations of the Russian Federation in the field of atomic energy use (hereinafter – norms) against the requirements of the documents of IAEA (SSR-2/1), the European Union (EUR-E), and the Republic of Finland (YVL), pertaining to nuclear power plant (NPP) safety aspects related to the plant states accounted for in the NPP design.
The results of the comparative analysis have shown that there are some discrepancies in the requirements of the norms of the Russian Federation with the specified international and foreign norms in regulating safety of NPP.
Based on the results obtained, possible areas for improving the regulatory framework of the Russian Federation in the field of atomic energy use were considered and proposals for amending the norms of the Russian Federation were formulated.
