Delegation of SEC NRS took part in scientific and practice conference “New Technological Platform for Nuclear Power Industry. “Breakthrough” Project”

The “Breakthrough” Project, which envisages creation of nuclear power technologies of new generation on the basis of closed nuclear fuel cycle involving fast neutron reactors, is implemented in the frames of the Federal Target Programme “Nuclear Power Technologies of New Generation for 2010-2015 and up to 2020”. Technical design of BREST-OD-300 reactor installation is envisaged to be prepared in June 2014. The reactor first criticality is planned for the year 2019, while the power start-up — for the year 2020.
