5. Regarding the Draft Federal Law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation Concerning Safety Regulation in Atomic Energy Use”.
The Draft Law is intended to improve safety in atomic energy use, and implement the national program “Development of the Nuclear Power Generation Complex”. The Draft Law suggests to establish the commitment with regard to review of computer software, which provides calculated modeling of processes affecting safety of nuclear facilities and types of activities in the field of atomic energy use, to identify the subject of such a review, and to empower the state safety regulatory authority to establish the review procedure.
The Draft Law was discussed and approved on October 23, 2017 in frames of the session of the Legislative Drafting Activities Commission of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The Government Decision
To approve the Draft Federal Law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation Concerning Safety Regulation in Atomic Energy Use” and to submit it to the State Duma in accordance with the established procedure.
