Recommendations on the Scope and Content of the Integrated Survey Report for Ships and Other Floating Vessels with Nuclear Reactors, and Nuclear Maintenance Ships during Operating Lifetime Extension (RB-033-22)

The Safety Guide contains recommendations of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia on the scope and content of the integrated survey report for ships and other floating vessels with nuclear reactors, and nuclear maintenance ships.

RB-033-22 covers the following nuclear facilities that are subject to substantiation of a possibility for operating lifetime extension:

nuclear installations: ships and other floating vessels with nuclear reactors, and nuclear maintenance ships intended for storage and transportation of nuclear materials;
radiation sources: nuclear maintenance ships intended for storage and transportation of radioactive substances and radioactive wastes.
The Safety Guide is intended to be applied by the specialists of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia and of the expert organizations performing safety analysis for ships and other floating vessels with nuclear reactors or nuclear maintenance ships, as well as by the specialists of operating organizations, and other organizations performing works and rendering services to the operating organization in the process of extension of the operating lifetime of the aforesaid nuclear facilities.

In this context, the Safety Guide RB-033-17 "Recommendations on the Scope and Content of the Integrated Survey Report for Ships and Other Floating Vessels with Nuclear Reactors, and Nuclear Service Ships during Operating Lifetime Extension" (Order of the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia of May 11, 2017 No. 157) shall be recognized as revoked.
